Course Outline

The Certification Examination Practice Course is divided into five modules:
Preparation: Prepare to Study
Outlines the benefits certificate holders enjoy and offers strategies
for taking multiple choice tests and overcoming test anxiety. Note: You
are currently in the Introduction Lesson of the Preparation Module.
Certification Task List: Outlining the Topics
Identifies the exact task list used to develop the actual certification
examination. The task list organizes the questions on the certification
examination, making for an excellent departure point for studying. This
task list ultimately serves to create our comprehensive examination,
and is linked to the everyday tasks performed by experienced inspectors
in the field.
Quizzes: Answer Questions and Receive Feedback
Throughout the course you will find multiple quizzes. The
practice questions in these quizzes are developed from the same task
list that is used for the development of the actual certification
examination. So you can be sure that the proportion of questions asked
on each topic will be similar in nature to the actual
examination. The practice questions also provide detailed
feedback, revealing critical reference points. This feedback will
assist you in finding the proper code sections for further study. And
in turn, helping you to become much more familiar with your references
through applying them more easily to each question you encounter in the
future.
Timed Practice Exam: Simulating the Actual Exam Environment
A
comprehensive, timed examination concludes the course. The timed
exam is designed to simulate the test-taking experience, and is
developed and timed in proportion to the actual certification task list
itself. The timed practice exam will aid you in developing the time
management skills necessary to be successful in the examination.
Final Considerations: Evaluate Yourself
Provides you with a start in evaluating and creating a personal plan of
action to better prepare for the certification examination.
